Academic Shoot Reflection and Critique

1. One big challenge I faced while shooting was that there wasn't a lot going on and most of the classes saw were all too boring for shooting. Either the teacher was up at the front teaching or they were all just doing quiet work.

2. An aspect I was thinking about a lot when I was shooting was the angles that i was taking the photos at. I was trying to get the right angle to make the photo interesting. To do this I tried to take the same photo at different angles to see if any of them turned out good.

3. If I was to do the assignment again I would go to classes I now know have more interesting photos to take. I would also try to include more than one of the rules in each of my photos.

4. Some things I would do the same is I would take as many photos I can in each place or classroom to get the best photos. I would also go into some of the same classrooms like the art rooms where there is a bunch of stuff going on.

5. The easiest rule to achieve in my opinion is simplicity. Its easy to have a simple photo as long as you're not trying to fit too much into one photo.

6. The hardest rule to capture would probably be framing just because its hard to find a good natural frame. I feel like the more natural the frame is the better the picture will be.

7. The only rule that is still a little confusing to me is balance. I just don't understand how you know whether it is balance or not.

1. One thing I like about his photos is that the background is blurred a little to more clearly show the subject. Another thing I liked was that he did a good job using the rule of thirds.

2. One thing that he could improve is giving the photos a little more light, some of the photos were too dark.
