Nut Graf

A Nut Graf is a short paragraph or sentence of a story that pretty much tells the whole story in a nut shell. It lets the reader know why the story or article is important. A nut Graf provides a transition from the lead and its connection to the rest of the story. This is placed after the who, what, when, where, why, how. The sentence should explain to the reader why its important for them to read the story or article not what the story is about.
After the Nut Graf should be the main details of the story. It should be in the order of the inverted pyramid from most important to least important. The Nut Graf will give any additional information that was giving in the lead sentence or sentences.
